  1. Laziness is when I just “don’t feel like it.” Burnout is when I’m mad at the story for not turning out the way I want it to too and I find myself not wanting to look at it. The latter I find I need to take a step back and take a deep breath about it. The former is just being lazy.

From non-writing friends they tell me I shouldn’t work so hard, I shouldn’t force it, but writer friends don’t say much one way or the other.

    • INteresting. Most people tell me I work way too hard, and I think they’re crazy, because I don’t think I work hard at all. So I’m wondering if that’s the source of disconnect.

  2. Hi Vylar,

I’ve been toying with the idea that I might be burnout for about six months. I’ve been pushing myelf for two and half years now. (I know, I know, I’m a mere child.)

I suspect my burnout might disappear in the wake of a spectacular sale.

    Onwards.
